Just finished watching the movie. To be very honest, both the movies have been extremely predictable. In the sense that if you see a minute, you can easily say what is going to happen in the next half an hour. Its a good movie nonetheless, although the director put in a lot of sex and gore. Don't know how the sex adds to the atmosphere, but the blood and gore sure do. This one is a purely action oriented plotline. If you haven't seen the first movie, don't worry, you'll get enough flashbacks throughout the movie which will bring you upto speed!

I won't reveal what happens in the movie for my less unfortunate friends, who still have to see it and spend an hour and a half dawdling and wasting their time. Safe to say, the movie reveals a lot about how the lycans and vampires originally came to be. Who Markus really is, and how Victor really was not what he appeared to be in the first movie. It also introduces us to Alexander Corvinus, who is the father of the two races, the first hybrid dude. Additions like Alexander give a sentimental touch to an otherwise very gory and explosive movie.

So, the last word is this. A good bang for your buck (quite literally), and a good way to spend your Sunday afternoon if you really have nothing better to do. Don't watch if you don't like blood and are a little squeamish, because this movie (believe me!) has a lot of blood and gore. A lot of unwanted sex too. Those scenes are graphic, and they really don't add to the story in anyway (unless Beckinsale gets pregnant in a third movie!). So overall, I'll rate it a 3/5. Not bad!
