A husband returned home from the butcher with the ham for Sunday brunch . As he walked into the house his wife asked, "Did you ask the butcher to cut the end off the ham?" "You didn't ask me to," replied the husband. "We always cut the end off," said the wife. "Why?" asked the husband. "I don't know," said the wife. "That is what my mother taught me and it's the way we've always done it." Determined to find the reason for cutting the end off the ham, the husband called his mother in law to ask why. The mother in law said that she did it because that was what her mother taught her to do. So the husband called grandma to ask her why the need to cut the end off the ham. Grandma explained, "Well, you see, I only have a small oven, so I have to cut it off in order to fit it in."Sometimes a lot of us refuse to change our mindsets...refuse to adapt with time...and we end up doing what we've been doing all our lives or taught to do without even giving a thought about it.
